Xexus el Ñazarenu, Jesucristo.—Hace un mamplenáu de años, cuando yo andaba por las fiestas y romerías de toda mi querida Tierrina vendiendo pequeños libros escritos en mi incipiente astur, llevaba un pequeño coche y encima un altavoz, con el cual entraba en las romerías tocando gaitadas por mediación de cintas, lo que nunca me han gustado eran las asturianadas aunque algunas las admitía, y todo era porque su letra no estaba en astur, por esta razón yo hice unos poemas en llingua astur y los grave en una cinta cantándolos a mi manera, recuerdo que un día en Villaviciosa, estando cantándolos el altavoz de mi coche mientras que yo al lado de él esperaba que los amantes de sus raíces me compraran algún librín, que valían a diez pesetas, se acercó a mí un indianu, quiero decir un astur que estaba en las Américas, y me preguntó donde podía comprar aquella cinta, yo le contesté que en ninguna parte porque aquella cinta la había hecho yo, me preguntó que si se la vendía, y yo le dije que lo único que podía hacer era ir a comprar una cinta vacía y que se la grabaría igual, o que si tenía magnetofón, que yo podía ir con él de juerga, fartucanus de xidre y que yo le cantarta de mi cosecha todas las canciones que quisiera, no parecía encontrarse bien de salud, por esto quiso más que yo le grabase una, tal cosa hice aquel mismo día y el buen Indianu astur intentó por todos los medios pagarme largamente aquel insignificante obsequio, y que le contesté que bien pagado quedaria, si fuese por el mundo adelante pregonando por donde anduviera, que nuestra Tierrina era la más Noble e Hidalga, la más encantadora y dulce, la más Embrujante y Divina, de cuantas tierras el Hacedor hubiera hecho en todo el Universo.
